Working in the morning but come the evening when we,
Went to Woking theatre to see Lenny Henry
He came on shaking, quite nervous at the start
Then he settled down and delivered from the heart
A biography on stage we were told of friend and foe
Of memories triggered by music, and a baby grand piano
Lenny took us on the rollercoaster that has been his life
Told us of Disco and Soul and differences with wife
The girls were all laughing and so were the guys
He could roll us in the aisle by simply rolling his eyes
He says without music he just feels odd
His whole life contained on one I-pod
