Monday Monday and back to work
Back to being a reception clerk
Suit on with shiny new civility
Taking on unpaid responsibility
Very busy with lots of arrivals
So new and some revivals
Having celebrities is quite nice
There’s that lady from Dancing on Ice
It’s the morning after the night before
Lots of hazy stories and heads all sore
One day on, then two days away
Making the most of my off days
Do I hit the town and drop the bomb
Or do I just stay in with little Tom
I could fester like a dirty squatter
Or take the wife to see Harry Potter
Look around from a job more worth while
Try to restore my inner smile
Just something to help pay the mortgage
Put my ideal away in storage
For now a job to balance my life
Or to help me spend more time with the wife
