I've
walked along the Hudson
I've
seen the lights on Broadway
I've
seen yellow cabs by the dozen
I've
opened up the New York doorway
I've
waited wished and wanted
To
see your sky rise blocks
and
now my dreams are haunted
And
I don't want that feeling to stop
New
York I kept you waiting
A
diamond that rose from the sea
Now,
New York and I are dating
I
hope that New York loves me
I've
toured around your well know sights
I've
explored your concrete jungle
I've
stood upon your highest heights
and
felt so lucky and humble
I
have been there, I did explore
I
would like the clocks to rewind
I
might not be in New York any more
But
New York is forever in my mind
